I found your blog through Mountains & Other Miracles. You rock! I have been teaching high school for 12 years and students like you renew my faith in the future. Since I'm teacher I want to suggest some writers you might look at - Annie Dillard (Pilgrim at Tinker Creek), RW Emerson (esp Nature),anything by John Muir, Mary Oliver (poetry and prose)... also check out oceanfutures.org, where Jacques Cousteau's grandkids have taken up his torch (if you use Facebook you can link to their site and get their posts). You go girl!!!!
